The
Arts curriculum resources
|
The Arts curriculum has changed very little
from the earlier version and remains focused on understanding,
developing practical knowledge and ideas and communicating and
interpreting within the four strands of the Arts.
These Arts resources are all based on the
new curriculum document. The achievement objectives and key competencies have
been adapted from there. At the bottom of the page you will find links to the blank unit planners for each level
1-4, covering the primary years. Simply delete those achievement objectives not
needed and fill in the Specific Learning Outcomes.
Each unit plan template contains the full
complement of Achievement Objectives in each strand.

What are the arts about?
Learning in, through, and about the arts stimulates creative action
and response by engaging the senses, imagination, thinking, and
feelings. Arts education explores, challenges, affirms, and
celebrates artistic and aesthetic expressions of self, community,
culture, and our unique environment.
