This is the only Lodge-style accommodation available on the Chathams and is situated at the start of the magnificent Henga Scenic Reserve walkway. Henga encompasses over 300 hectares of regenerating Kopi and Mahoe forest, sand dune eco-systems, and intriguing limestone outcrops.

Henga scenic reserve also contains a number of sites of traditional occupation by Moriori, the original inhabitants of these islands.

Chatham Lodge has accommodation for up to twenty guests, most in a twin share arrangement.

There is a well appointed bar room, complete with log fire, and dining available for up to forty people.

Chatham Lodge serves a range of locally caught seafoods and offers buffet or a le carte dining.

Chatham Lodge sits at the edge of the 700 acre Henga farm, which belongs to Hokotehi Moriori Trust. Purchased in 2007 from John and Denise Sutherland, Henga farm compliments Hokotehi's existing farming operations at Kaingaroa.

Marakapia lake at Chatham Lodge is a natural haven for Chatham Islands Black Swan and other wading birds and is a two minute walk from the lodge.

Chatham Lodge offers guided tours right across the Chatham Islands including day trips to nearby Pitt Island where you can be a part of one of New Zealand's most isolated communities.
