The Education resources website was created as an opportunity to assist with introducing more information about Moriori into the education system of New Zealand (and further afield).
At present, there are very few resources available in schools about Moriori, but the book, "Moriori," by Michael King is considered essential reading for any teacher or student wanting to learn more about this fascinating and misunderstood part of New Zealand's cultural history.
Learning Media, the publishers of the School Journal have a number of publications planned for early 2009, based on a recent trip to Rekohu as guests of Hokotehi Moriori Trust.
Education-Resources is designed to compliment the " School Camps at Kopinga" product and provides a range of educational resources for teachers, students and anyone else interested in this fascinating slice of New Zealand's past, present and future.
